Plans, trials and what happens when one ends

What each plan includes, how the 14-day trial works, and what you can still do after a trial or a subscription ends.

The plans

  • FreeThe recorder on its own. Recordings stay in your browser until you save them to your device.
  • SoloFor one person. Up to 50 videos in the cloud, with links anyone can open.
  • TeamMeetings for a team, with up to 25 topics each. You pay per speaker. Recordings are kept for 365 days.
  • BusinessEverything in Team, with up to 50 topics per meeting, your own retention window, your own bucket, single sign-on, joining by domain and an export of the audit log.
  • EnterpriseBusiness for larger companies, with up to 100 topics per meeting, payment on invoice and terms agreed with us. Write to sales@capme.app.

The trial

A trial lasts 14 days and needs no card. Signing up makes a Free workspace. A trial starts only when you ask for one: with a plan's trial button on the pricing page, or from Free, where you can try Solo or Team. Until paid plans open, no trial starts yet: the trial buttons lead to a page where you leave your address, and Capme emails you when trials open.

During a trial of Team or Business, speakers aren't counted, so everyone can be a speaker. The workspace owner gets emails as the end comes closer, and admins get the one two days before the end and the one on the day it ends. In the last 3 days, a line above every page tells owners and admins how long is left.

Everyone you add gets an email right away with a link to sign in. Viewers stay free after the trial, and you pay only for speakers, so make anyone who only watches a viewer before you buy.

A trial can move up to a bigger plan and keeps its end date when it does. A Solo trial switches to Team or Business from the plan's trial button. On a company Team trial, owners and admins can choose Try Business for the rest of your trial on the buy page or in the rollout checklist, to set up single sign-on or your own bucket before anybody buys. A trial never moves back down, and you can still buy the smaller plan at the end.

To make the case inside your company, owners and admins open Trial summary to forward on the Overview tab: the trial, what the workspace did with it, the price and where the security and data protection answers are, on one page to print or save as a PDF.

When the trial ends

Nothing is deleted. Everyone can still open the workspace and watch every meeting and video, and public links keep working.

Adding to it stops until you choose a plan. Nobody can record, create or send a meeting, invite people or change the workspace's settings. You can still delete recordings. The owner can also still make someone an admin and hand the workspace to them, so the person who buys can take it over. Admins can still make speakers viewers and remove people, so the first bill counts only the people who record.

The first page anyone opens after the trial ends explains this in a panel, and the plan label in the sidebar opens it again. The owner goes from there to Buy a plan, or to People to hand the workspace to whoever buys. Everyone else sees who the owner is and can email them. Billing, speakers and invoices goes through buying.

When a subscription ends

If a subscription is cancelled or can't be paid, the workspace is locked. Meetings and public links switch off, and the library still opens. Once a cancelled plan has ended, the workspace stays readable for 30 days: you can watch and download everything and buy a plan again, which lifts the lock. Owners and admins get an email 7 days before the end. After the 30 days we delete the workspace. A workspace locked over an open invoice isn't deleted while the subscription is still open; paying the invoice lifts the lock.

Changing plans

Buy a plan offers the plans above the one you are on, and yearly if you pay monthly. If you already pay, the change happens on your existing subscription: Capme credits what is left of the current period and charges the difference straight away. Solo is for one person, so a workspace with a second member can't buy it. To move to a smaller plan, or from yearly to monthly, write to hello@capme.app.
