How a Capme meeting works

An agenda, one short video per topic, and one page where everyone watches them in order when it suits them.

Updated September 27, 2026

A Capme meeting replaces a status call. Each person records their part when they have time, and everyone watches the result when they have time.

The agenda

The organiser writes an agenda. Each topic has one speaker and a length, up to 30 minutes. The length is a target: the speaker sees how long they have been talking, and nothing cuts them off if they run over.

The meeting can have a recording deadline. Speakers see it with a countdown. It is a reminder, and videos recorded after it are still accepted.

From invitation to recorded agenda

  1. Not sent yetThe organiser is still writing the agenda. Nobody has been told.
  2. Waiting for videosSpeakers have their invitation and record their topics. The meeting page collects the videos as they come in.
  3. All videos inEvery topic has a video. The meeting waits for the organiser.
  4. SharedThe organiser published the meeting, and everyone on the list got an email with the link. The organiser can publish before every video is in; missing topics then show a placeholder.

Watching

Everyone opens the same page. The videos play in agenda order, one chapter per topic, and the next one starts by itself. The space bar plays and pauses, and the arrow keys move between videos. People can applaud a video.

Only people on the meeting's list and the workspace's admins can open it. Anyone else who has the link can ask for access.

A video counts as watched once someone has seen 75% of it. Whether the organiser sees this per person or only as totals depends on a workspace setting; What admins can see about people explains it.
